Kimberly Brouer, MA, ALC, NCC
Hi there!

My name is Kimberly Brouer (brOWer), and I have a great passion for working with children and adolescents, and their families, in and through their struggles. I desire to be the vessel for teaching and healing while allowing the client to choose how and when they move forward.
In December 2022, I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I became an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) in the State of Alabama in January 2023 and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in March 2023. I have worked as a school-based mental health therapist in the elementary and high school levels, and I have served in various volunteer capacities in the school systems and nonprofit world for several years. I am currently working towards my certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
While I operate from a person-centered orientation, I will utilize an integrative approach with each client that allows me to choose techniques and interventions that will serve you best according to your needs. I would like clients to feel comfortable in speaking up for their preferences regarding techniques and interventions used as they are the keys to healing and change in their own lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and with family. I also like to arrange flowers, plan events, and travel. I hope to meet you and have the opportunity to learn more about you and how I may be of service to you. Have a beautiful day!
