Parent Support

Developmentally, we acknowledge that the neurobiology of emotional regulation starts with you. In creating your own awareness of your own body, emotions, and attachment, you can gain the tools to support your child’s own growth.

What is parent support?

For parents of spirited children, our clinicians offer short or long-term parent consultation and support. Parent support is a way to help you. It is your opportunity to process some of the stressors you have on your plate while gaining skills that will help you meet your child’s needs. We follow theories grounded in attachment and focus on building the parent-child relationship as a foundation for healing and growth. Our goal is to give you practical strategies to help your uniquely wonderful child develop the skills to thrive.

  • Gain respect towards themselves and others

  • Strive to learn

  • Be kind to others

  • Develop skills to enhance their confidence

  • Recognize their unique strengths

  • Build on intrinsic motivation
